The greatest strength of a prefabricated system is that the pool shell is manufactured under controlled factory conditions rather than on site. The panels or the monobloc shell are fabricated to the project dimensions and in line with the applicable standards.

Factory quality carried to site
Factory production removes the variability that site conditions impose on reinforced concrete; every pool is produced to the same standard, at a predictable quality.

A prefabricated pool stands firm only on a properly prepared base. The excavation, the level setting and the reinforced-concrete raft (base) slab the pool will sit on are prepared to engineering detail.
At this stage the ground bearing capacity, water pressure and drainage details are evaluated together. A flat, truly level base allows panel assembly to proceed quickly and faultlessly.

The foundation must be solid
A base that is out of level or inadequately prepared can lead to gaps at the panel joints, to settlement and to deformation of the liner.

This is where the most visible advantage of a prefabricated system shows itself: the pool shell is erected on site within days. The panels are bolted together, or the monobloc shell is lowered onto its base by crane.

Speed without compromising quality
Prefabricated assembly is fast; but if the joint gaskets and the level checks are skipped, sealing problems can appear over time. Attention to detail matters as much as the installation itself.

In prefabricated pools the waterproofing is most often provided by a PVC liner (membrane). Laid over the surface of the shell, the liner creates both the seal and the aesthetic inner surface of the pool in a single layer.

Detail reveals quality
Faults in the liner joints and welds can cause water leaks and wrinkling of the surface. The watertightness of a prefabricated system is decided at this stage.

A prefabricated pool runs healthily only on properly planned electromechanical installations. Skimmers, pumps, filters, piping, lighting and dosing systems are planned to the pool volume and the intensity of use.

Once the shell and the installations are complete, the space behind the panels is backfilled under control, and the pool coping stones and the surrounding paving are laid. This stage completes both the structural support of the pool and its appearance.

The backfill supports the shell
Poorly compacted backfill behind the panels can impose lateral thrust on the shell and deform it. Backfilling must be carried out in step with filling the pool, and kept balanced.

Once the prefabricated pool is complete, all mechanical, electrical and water systems are tested. Filtration, circulation, lighting, leak checks and chemical balance are assessed one by one.
